Desired Candidate Profile

Follow development procedures that ensure the security and integrity of enterprise databases and applications.

• Work with others in the IT organization to construct data models and database designs that meet customer requirements.

• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve data performance issues, data replication, and other common issues arising in a distributed architecture.

• Participate in the implementation of IT projects that involve new or significant changes to enterprise applications and databases.

• Develop and administer MS SQL Server requirements and performance optimization plans.

• Develop new and build enhancements to existing enterprise applications such as CRM, Financial, and HR Management applications - front-end and back-end development.

• Design, develop and maintain scripts in VB, Java, ADO/COM, XML and other environments.

• Develop new back-end support for distributed environments such as E-commerce Solutions and web-marketing and lead gathering applications.

• Assist the Common Services Manager and EAI lead in managing the enterprise application integration (EAI) tools and assist with projects using this EAI toolset.

• Design, develop and maintain EAI workflows to ensure a high level of quality for enterprise-wide data and near real-time movement of key information cross-platform and cross-application.

• Design, develop and maintain data warehouses and systems that support our Business Intelligence tools.

• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve data performance issues, data replication, and other common issues arising in a distributed architecture.

• Extend department knowledge in the area of client/server and web-based application development.

• Grow the in-house IT expertise in the area of database design and development by seeking out appropriate training, expert associations, keeping abreast of industry trends in technology and methods and providing brown bag training sessions for other IT staff.

Job Description

This position requires a BE (preferred)with at least 8 years of experience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 administration and programming.

• Experience in implementing different types of Replication models like Snapshot, Merge and Transactional.

• Should have knowledge in Log Shipping using MSSQL Server

• Extensive Experience in Clustering and Replication•

• Experience in Database Backup, Recovery and Disaster Recovery procedures

• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, Database consistency checks using DBCC Utilities.

• Using Performance Monitor/Profiler to solve Dead Locks/Long running queries.

• Experience in investigating and applying necessary SQL Server database service packs and patches.

• Extensive experience in SSRS Reporting Designer.

• Extensive experience in SSAS Cube Development and Administration.

• Extensively worked on Data extraction using the Microsoft DTS and SSIS.

• Experience in clustered and SAN environment.

• Experience in implementing business logic using Triggers, Views and Stored procedures

• Provide support for all enterprise applications as it relates to data quality management.

• Good analytical skills, written and verbal communication, and sound judgment to accomplish goals under direct supervision of the Common Services Manager.

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills combined with self-motivation, initiative and the ability to think outside the box.
