Job Description

Operations:

Timely IT service delivery and IT service support to daily operations
Coordinating with other departments for all IT requirements
Standardizing IT tools and processes internally
Working constantly in automating new and existing processes
Proactive planning of capacities based on business projections
Implementing immediate restoration plans in case of any type of server failure or downtime
Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments

System Administration support:

Backups, recovery, monitoring and controlling access permissions and privileges
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
Performing routine audits of systems and software
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
Installing and configuring new hardware and software
Troubleshooting any reported problems
Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running

Desired Candidate Profile

Hands-on experience in installation of desktops, laptops and servers.
Expertise in installation and troubleshooting of:

Operating Systems: Microsoft XP Professional OS+ , Linux (Redhat/Slackware-11+)

Softwares: Microsoft Office Application suites, Other necessary softwares

Expertise in Network Administration and monitoring.
Expertise in hardware maintenance.
Working knowledge on DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and routers/switches.
Candidates with Microsoft and Cisco certification will be preferred.
MCSE Certified 2003/2008, Linux certified optional & CCNA.
Good communication skills is a must.
2-3 years of experience on desktops (OS XP, Vista, and Linux),
Expertise in the following will be an added advantage:
Troubleshooting any issues related to IPLC, VPN and VOIP.
Installation and troubleshooting of engineering applications.
Understanding of DHCP, DNS, and WINS name resolution-internet work security - frame relay, point to point, vpn, isdn and dial up connectivity.
